Equipment targeted for space should operate as designed without margin of error. We can help the industry meet these critical mission features. In terms of delivering electrical equipment, electromagnetic and environmental performances are critical issues that every manufacturer should consider.

Since in-service maintenance is almost impossible, one component or subassembly should not be affected by the other, and both components and all units must not be susceptible to gas and moisture in extreme temperatures, variable environmental pressures, and dust-containing environments.

EUROLAB's laboratory environment can assist in the assessment of components and equipment for these different, extraterrestrial challenges.

Electrics

Our experienced electrical engineers can conduct R & D phased equipment evaluation by checking everything from surge protection to leakage and clearance to help protect against short circuits. We can also help verify the basic design to ensure that the equipment works as intended.

EMC

With test item sizes ranging from 3 to 10 meters, we offer fully anechoic and semi-anechoic chambers to test emissions and immunity. 

We test according to the following Standards:

DEF STAN 59-411 and 61-5 and EN Standards
MIL STD 461 includes: EMC spread immunity / sensitivity; emitted emissions; mass flow injection; performed immunity / sensitivity; emissions achieved; and 2MHz to 40 GHz and 10KHz MIL STD 461 RS103 to 200V / m field strength spread capability

Environment

EUROLAB offers a wide range of rooms to test the influence of temperature, vibration, shock, mechanical wear and dust / moisture input and light spectrum. Our rooms are regularly tested for aerospace, military, IT and industrial applications and we can simulate altitudes up to 100.000 feet (30.000 meters). We can test according to the IEC 60068-xy series listed below and MIL, DEF and RTCA standards or we can design a custom test program according to your needs.

EUROLAB has Nadcap approval and offers extensive mechanical testing of plastics and advanced composite materials. EUROLAB is a nationally recognized testing laboratory and our accreditations include ISO 17025, Nadcap, UKAS, which are accredited for military and commercial EMC Testing.
